It is the intention of the Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and Environment (DFFE) to promulgate new regulations for implementing and enforcing Priority Area Air Quality Management Plans.
In terms of these regulations, Emission Reduction and Management Plans will be required to be compiled and reported on by those facilities who operate a listed activity, a controlled emitter or a mine within an Air Quality Priority Area in terms of the Air Quality Act in South Africa.
